Hi guys and girls, I'm an aging boomer who has never been on a motorcycle but due to the utter boredom of lockdown in Sydney (and a good example from my son) I decided to get my licence. Funny thing, I went with my son to pick up his new Interceptor 650 and while he was messing about I sat on a Meteor Supernova Brown. I liked the position and the kick-change, bought it on the spot - less than 10 minutes of consideration. I was due for first service within 7 days, 500km of riding within a 5km radius of my house. I'm hoping to do a little bit of touring once we leave Af-Glad-istan (or once we've been released from our Glad-Wrap if you like).

Impulse buys are great I bought a Bonnie from a dealer once on the way back from work on a Thursday night. I dropped in to the dealer to ‘just have a look’ ; )

I did sneak out to West Head the other day but let's just say that I'm totally over the lower north shore.

Welcome to the group. I haven't been in mandatory lock down but a medical one myself. Had stem cell therapy done on my right knee in June and a stent in October. Now that the weather has broken I have been out riding again. Selling one of my Norton's (the reason for the knee work).

Hello and welcome to this forum and congratulations on your new ride. The Meteor is a prefect bike to get started with. Even better you and your son can now go riding together! My son got his motorcycle indorsment two years ago but instead of getting a bike he found a new girlfriend, needless to say I haven’t seen much of him lately.
