I can't find many Himalayan mirrors. To top it off, the ones I bought don't fit (the mirror doesn't fit in the screw hole)

Can someone please share the size of the mirror so I could search by size online? Any good places to shop from, especially in Europe?

Yea, this one. Thanks to the product description I see that the size is 10x1.25. I might as well order this one, a little bit later. Tomorrow I'm gonna shop around locally as I don't wanna wait a month for the doubletake and ride without a mirror by then :)

I bought a pair of the many trapezoidal mirrors that are around for a few bucks, Qjiang brand and CCC / E9 rated.
Not many vendors mention compliance, these appear 0EM quality, and work well without extenders, even with XXXL sized rider.
They came with a full set of adaptors for 8/10 mm and RH/LH so I was reasonably certain they would fit.
I briefly looked at the DT mirrors, but as in Oz they would have cost twenty (20) times as much I decided to give the cheapies a try.
Glad I did, they work fine, look good and , I think, make a bit less wind noise than stock too.
But , as you say, a few weeks shipping from China.

I did read somewhere that mirrors for the current Himalayans don't fit the earlier ones. Dunno, it might be true, you can but try.

Personally, although I don't have any real issues with my mirrors (not enough to replace them), if I needed a replacement, I'd be looking elsewhere anyway, just for better vision. Those things like Itchy Boots uses could be the go, though they're expensive.

The double take adventure mirrors are not cheap, but worth every penny.
No vibration blur and adjustability is the best part.
Big plus is that if you smash the mirror you can buy the insert only quite cheap.
And many parts being Ram mounts even that is available as parts.

My $15- Qjiang mirrors don't have any vibration blur either , and can be adjusted so that I can see all of the road behind me, which is all that I need from a rear view mirror.
At $15- the pair incl postage not the end if I break one, but at the price of the DTs you would certainly want spares.
You don't mention wind noise or looks, but to my eyes the DTs are plain ugly.
I also don't like buying products from people who use " influencers " to do their marketing, makes me fell they are trying to take me for a mug!

No wind noise in my experience and works for me. The looks ? It’s rear view mirrors.

However, I respect your need to get good looking mirrors 👍

I did not buy the mirrors based on looks , it was just a comparison with the pug ugly double takes.
And usually , if it looks right it is right!
As long as we are happy with our mirrors that is what matters.
I get perfect rear view , no vibration and less wind noise than OEM for $15- , and I am happy with that.
And the fact that some "influencer" is not getting a kick back for recommending them.
You are happy with the price you are paying for pretty much the same thing.
So each to his own, I am an on the aged pension and have to avoid needless expenditure, you probably are less constrained with your spending!
And perhaps more easily influenced!

Hey Roy, are you on the Royal Enfield Himalayan Australian Group on fraudbook?
I'm not trying to talk you into joining, but if you're not and are interested in going on rides with other local sufferers, give a yell. (if you are, I'm the cat)

Thanks for the invite but I prefer to ride on my own - and most others seem to prefer that I do too!
And bike forums are my limit on the net----.
I have been doing around 30,000 km a year on my BMW's for around the past 25 years so not much exploring left to do in SA anyway, and at 75 I am probably a bit too slow to ride with fit young blokes - I don't go any faster on my 60 HP bikes than I do on the Hima!
