possible shorter side stand on 2020 model?

let me fire up the search engine.... yes, it did https://advrider.com/f/threads/royal-enfield-himalayan-owners-thread.1253460/page-177#post-36189498 Just finished sorting out the side stand on my Himalayan. It's too long as made which makes things a bit precarious; especially with luggage on...

yes, has been done and posted on advrider long ago.

Facebook and single threat in advforum vs. a "real" forum with diverse topics

advrider is broader, not just narrow mindedly focussing on one bike. How often do you want to talk about the same stuff the Hima has to offer? The advrider thread is equally repetitive as this forum. And even though this forum may offer a better organization the main traffic is in just one part...

    Anyone using a oil thermometer?

https://www.birdcomsale.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=604407 threads are M20x1.5mm which is pretty common for oil filler caps. Just make sure that the dip stick doesn't collide with any engine internals.

    Himalayan Valve Adjustment Questions!

except that he doesn't address compression vs exhaust TDC which is the most common issue. Just bringing the engine to the T mark does not ensure that it's compression TDC.

    re-torquing cylinderhead

that hose vents fuel fumes that develop in the tank into the charcoal canister that's mounted on the bash plate. From there the fuel is occasionally purged into the engine where it is burned. The system is part of the emissions control system and meant to keep fuel vapor out of the atmosphere...

    Larger front sprocket

as mentioned elsewhere i've put a 16t sprocket on my wife's Hima and it's perfect for the Texas flat lands. Had to use a 112 link chain. 4th gear is a fully useable gear now up to 70mph if needed (still pulls just fine in 5th from 50mph) and 5th has a bit of an overdrive function. First is still...

    Bigger Tank for the Himmie

the usual ebay sellers in India sell the tank for as low as $260 including shipping to the US. $569 seems expensive.

    Bigger Tank for the Himmie

nice tank. Did you test the 21litres? Getting an additional 3.25l per side by adding only 2cm seems optimistic or does the tank really have a profile area of 1610cm2?

    Oil Leak

i've cured it by tightening the bolt a tiny bit. Good since 2000mls. Might be worth trying that first. Be careful to not strip the threads.
