Hello Chaps
What brush guards are you using on your Himalayers?
I have at presant the wrap around Enfield ones that fix at the end of the bar but want the 2 fixing point ones, but ones that fit.
so if anyone has then fitted can you let me know what ones you have and may be a photo?
Thanks

Hi OldGuy
Sorry I was referring to the hand guards on the bars,
I'm just about to order some Givi engine bars to replace the Enfield ones fitted at presant.

Had to roll the bars back a little and put the screen on upright, and then fiddle to stop them hitting the clocks or the screen. There is now just enough clearance at full lock to get a cigarette paper in the gap.
Expensive but very sturdy.

Fitting 20mm risers fixed the clearance issues, not that you'd fit risers for that reason, but I wanted them for when I'm standing and lo and behold, my screen is now back in the rearward position and the bars are back to normal. I just bought another handlebar clamp and turned it upside down under the bars to get the 20mm rise.

+1 Bark busters storm, and the Givi engine guards fitted by dealer when I bought the bike. No trouble with it hitting the screen. Have about 8 to 9mm clearance. Screen is on higher position and that works for me. 👍

Oh, yeah - on screen clearance, I switched to the Hitchcock's tall screen at the same time I installed the hand guards. I did have to tip the screen forward to the highest setting to get clearance, and one side still juuuust (think Bob Ueker) touches the screen, but not enough to be a problem. I could shave a little of the screen there, but haven't yet.

Eatmore is right - I had to wait for a week or two as well. I back-ordered mine from CycleGear since they have a shop that I pass going to and from work and it was free shipping to the store.

They're spendy well made and very tough to take repeated hits. They don't bend like wet noodles like the cheap ones made from Chinesium do.
Agree. I have had them on several bikes (they are bike specific ) and can vouch for the quality. It has saved me several brake and clutch levers and my hands 🙌 of course.

Picked up some barkbusters lever guards for my ‘21 REH from ProCycle earlier this summer. Set the rear windscreen bolts to the highest setting and have 2 inch handlebar risers with no clearance issues of the windscreen or interference/pull on the throttle or brake cables. Very happy with these guards: https://procycle.us/product/2227-handguard-kit-aluminum-barkbusters and the risers: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rox-2-pivot-risers-for-78-handlebars?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4pzAgtHQ8gIVBQutBh01swLuEAkYAiABEgKXKfD_BwE&sku_id=849618

I fitted Barkbusters too. No screen adjustments were required on my '21. Do note a handlebar brace cannot be used if Barkbusters are fitted.
