I don't need a bunch of rules.

That said abiding by the customs and mores I grew up with and grew into has kept me out of a lot of trouble and saved boatloads of heartburn.

Don't threaten anyone or their loved ones with harm. When hanging out ( on somebody else's real estate ) do the property owner a solid by not debating politics or religion on their patio. Everywhere we've been, offering condolences or thoughts and prayers wishes, beams rays positive energy good karma etc. was always the right thing to do when the time came for it. Tall tails, exaggeration, banter and sarcasm are cornerstones of humor. Humor is good. Picking on folks to just be a d*#k is not. Honesty and follow through are good. Lying, cheating, stealing, welching, screwing people over are not. Just because there's no law against being an a##hole doesn't mean I have to be one all the time. Decisions ( or posts ) made in haste or anger usualy don't end well, sleep on it before committing. When the program sucks, change the channel.

Sounds like good loose set of customs or morals.
The only problem I find with text vs talk is there’s no emotion in written word it’s easy to be taken the wrong way. Of course if your like me and have a prickly flat voice, then everything you say gets taken the wrong way anyways.

The way I see it, the owner of the forum makes the rules, changes the rules, enforces the rules. Before I started the group buy on here I reached out to Jerk to make sure he was OK with it. Same thing I would do before I decided to post a sexy photo of my wife on my Himalayan. ;)

What you say makes a lot of sense MrDralas. And especially for non-English speakers who have to carefully use our imperfect grammar and insufficient vocabulary for fear of being misunderstood. I really liked your nuance about non-rules. Thanks you very much.

I see this is a rather outdated post, but as a newcomer I just found it 🤓.
My question is could 'nigromancia del foro' translate as 'magia del foro'? If so, that illustrate what I meant in my answer.
