Very nice and a brown Pegasus at that, I’m envious. I could only get a green Pegasus. My number is 660.
Thank you for you pics.

Very nice Bullet. 2000 miles in two months, alot of people don’t do the in a year. 👍 I’m of the same school, motorcycles are made to be ridden. The RE 500 and 535 UCE is my favorite single motorcycle motor. They are so much fun to ride as you have found out, and very economical to run and maintain.

I did the Western States 1000, put on by the Rose City Motorcycle Club out of Portland OR back in 2010. It’s 1000 mile run in two days. I did it on my first Royal Enfield, a 2010 500 RE Bullet Deluxe. It was a blast.😁 I wanted to show people you don’t need to spend a lot of money on a bike to have fun and you could also tour on a small displacement bike as well. Many people were amazed, I think I came in on the top 20% in time for the finish. But then it’s not a race anyway. At 85 mpg it was very easy with the 250-260 miles between fill ups. It was kind of like the tortuous and the hair story, I rode 55-58 mph and I just didn’t dilly-dally between stops. No worries!

LOL,
I have a cousin in Wisconsin. Her hubby, Jim, has a BMW R65 for which he gets a lot of flak from his HD riding buddies. When they want a race, he says "Sure, race you to Texas!"
Most of them baulk at riding to the second nearest bar!
LOL! He is riding with the wrong HD group. We call people like that in the states posers. You will find them in every motorcycle marquee not just HDs. If Jim is a rider then why is he hanging out/riding with people like that?

Not long ago I got back from my ride to TX. This time I took it easy only doing 700 miles a day there and back. Usually I ride it in two days not four like this time. Where I met up my friends out of Longview TX where we did a ride to AR for three days two nights.

Next year I’m thinking about doing the SCMA USA Four Corners Tour again for my fifth time. If your Jim would like ride along it’s only 11,000 to 12,000 mile round trip depending on the route taken. Last time I popped over to Newfoundland so it was more like 15,000 mile with the trip back home.39533954

Getting there...
I have a 2015 B5, which I bought as a stopgap till my Tribute Black Classic is back from MotoGB. (Long story).
However, I like it so much I've done 2000 miles on it in 2 months and may end up keeping it and selling the TB!
i am on my third bullet, just love to ride them, for any reason or no reason! my 2014 uce classic is the best yet (especially on E5!)

my first bullet was a 2005 avl electra x, loaded her up with camping gear and rode to the 2019 IOM TT races from whitby north yorkshire, blatted round the island for 2 weeks and rode home in torrential rain, she never missed a beat!

Do you have a photo of your bike you can post? I’d sure love to see it. One of my dreams in life was to go to the UK and tour the country side on a Bullet.

In 2011 I rode my 2010 G5 Bullet on one of my favorite rides, the Rose City Western States 1000. It’s only 1000 miles in two days. It was a piece of cake at 85 mpg, it gave me a very comfortable rang of 250 miles when holding it steady at 58 mpg, the sweet spot. It was a total BLAST!!! I think there was around 150 riders that year. Most of them never heard or seen of a Royal Enfield before. The ride was like a modern-day Tortoise and the Hare. 😃People were amassed I was doing so well on such a small bike. I think that year I finished in the top 20% as far as time goes. But then it’s really not a race anyway.

The old Bullets are the best. Nothing rides anything like them. The whole total experience of riding them is amazing and to me very satisfying.

Take care and keep the shining side up. 👍
