I purchased one of those seats out of India shortly after getting my Interceptor. On short rides it is OK but you want or need to put down mileage it will cripple you.
Anyone found a better quality seat? Did over 600 miles over Fathers Day and I was very sore when the riding was done.

Some variables to consider....age, purpose of bike, etc.....if I wanted to do 600 miles in a day, I'd buy a Goldwing or BMW K1600. But then I'm 66 with arthritis in my thoracic spine. I bought an INT650 because I moved to the mountains of western NC and wanted to do day rides in the twisties here. It's actually exercise and helps my back. Even so, the stock seat is a plank and I have no butt. I bought a cosmetic twin touring seat to the stock seat and have done almost 300 miles in a day without discomfort from the ebay vendor royal sparezo. Give them a gander and see what they have. I got the order in 4 days.

At 70 I'm good for about 300 miles a day. In this part of Texas the roads are great with great twisty roads no more that 2 miles away.
I will look up the vendor you mentioned. Thank you for the tip.

What model did you get? Could you supply a picture?
Thanks.

There are several seats on flea bay and they claim to be OEM shipping from India. Royalsparezo has a nice lookin "touring seat' for less than what I paid to have a seat recovered. I should order it. The stock is just a step above a 1x 10 #2 pine. Can't hurt to add to this seat thread. I know of a seat cover maker out of Pennsylvania called Cheeky Seats, I would have to send my seat so they can make a replaceable cover. Reasonable prices as its a well made slip cover. I had one done for my Vespa and was very happy with it. I still use a sheepskin from Alaska Seat on my sporty, its good hot or cold.IMG_9902.JPG
I got the Touring seat from India, it has the RE tag , nicely made , had it about 300 miles and its breaking in and seems good. Its harder close to the tank and softer as you slide back to the step.

I found the stock seat on the Interceptor very uncomfortable and at only 5ft 7in the seat height was a bit high. I changed this for the Continental GT Touring seat different from the Interceptor Touring seat it is lower at the front and is narrower at the front which improves the ability to get both feet own, I also fitted the Baak side stand extension which reduces the angle of lean making the bike easier to lift from side stand.
