Riding around Northern Alberta.

Rode the GT through the farm belt along the Clearhill foothills in northern Alberta yesterday. Old farmhouses, municipal playgrounds etc.. Nice paved highway for the most part, with a gravel road into the hills past Clear Prairie. Some really nice sweeper corners. You can buy fuel at the UFA Cardlock in the town of Worsley. The bike handled gravel roads surprisingly well. I can see why some people are doing scrambler modifications to their INT 650's.

The back-highway into Beaverlodge. Looking to the south/west from the Saddle Hills range. The Rocky mountains can be seen in the distance. 1938 wooden schoolhouse west of Woking, Alberta. If you need a potty break while out riding in the countryside, just look for an old schoolhouse or baseball diamond. You can bet you'll find an outhouse!

The Peace River, from the Sagitawa lookout. Smoky River confluence to the left. The town of Peace River to the right. I've canoed both rivers several times.

Pictures taken at 6:30 pm local time, on the day before the Summer Solstice, looking west. At this time of year you can read a newspaper outside at 11:30 pm. The birds start chirping at 3:30 am!

Looks like a good ride. I really like the out of the way places. Around Jasper and Banff is fun to ride also. Newfoundland/ Labrador is my favorite Province of Canada.
