I have a slight oil leak from under the oil filter cap.... my mechanic replaced the O-ring with a genuine RE Filter and gasket.... when I had the 500 service he said it was very thin and to keep an eye on it... sure enough started to leak again after a couple of 100 kilometres.... just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem and if there is an upgraded o'ring...🤔

I have a lot of hopes ties to my first service. I’m hoping my new bike issues are just minor and end quickly. I’ve already had to repair the gas tank latch; my bike throws an error code on 90 degree days (looks like nine blinks- MAP error) and I have a subtle but annoying shudder above 50. I’ll keep the faith and hope first full service gets these things cleared up.

did the first oil change on mine, and the filter cap leaked a few drops, changed out the gasket, did the same thing. decided to run a few heat cycles thru the motor and it cleared up. yep those o-rings are thin. on the hunt for something w/ a bit more meat.

Yeah mine seems to be clearing up as well ....mechanic said he would replace the gasket with a generic O ring if it proved to be a problem .....be good if Royal Enfield put a bit more meat in the future replacement gaskets ....but then we wouldnt need to replace them as often 😋

None of the new O rings leaked after my first service oil change, but I did get some seepage from the cover seal because I didn't use the new cover bolt seals that came with the kit. Lesson learned, never reuse squished cover bolt seals ;)

I had an oil leak after my first service too. I was annoyed as the dealer is 50 miles away. I just dropped the oil wiped the drain plug (it was leaking from there) and put the oil I collected back in. So far so good.. one might think the dealer would be more careful. It seemed like there was some fiber trapped b
etwoon the drain cover and engine.
