NSW Himalayan Owners

Sherpa

Well travelled
I know I am only new to this forum and I am too lazy to troll through the members list looking for NSW members.

If you are interested, could you please post here. If for nothing more than to share info relating to NSW Himalayan owners

I have ridden most of the States premier adventure roads over the last 5 or so years, including Cameron Corner/Innaminka, Bridle Trail, NSW/Vic High Country, Hunter/New England, Tenterfield, McKillop's Bridge, "The Cairn", and West to Flinders Ranges etc. Around 65,000K's

Recently placed an order for a 2020 Himalayan and am looking to repeat some of these rides over the next couple of years

This forum seems like a good place to organise and report on these rides

Hey, bit of an old thread I see but I'm new here so meh! :p
I assume you have the new bike by now? I haven't taken my new to me 2017 Himmy off road yet but will be doing a few dirt roads (Wombeyan Caves road, Reids Flat etc.) next weekend when I go away with the Royal Enfield Club to Boorowa.
Looking forward to doing some trails in the future though

Hi HimmyPaul,

haven't see Sherpa around for a bit. I didn't know there was a Royal Enfield Club to be honest, ha!. Still running in my 2020 Himalayan. Sometimes wonder if the carby version would have been a better option. So what's happening in Boorowa? Haven't been through there for years.

There certainly is a RE club, mostly Bullets and the like and definitely an older demographic, I'm 53 and far from the oldest! LOL
It was a great meet, there were about 20 Enfields but only 2 Himmys.
It was my second ride to Boorowa but wont be my last! it's a great ride Via Wombeyan Caves and there are lots of good dirt roads down there!

Sounds like good bunch. No one likely to race of into the distance there. Yes, nice around the caves area. Must over 10 years since I was last there. Seems as we get older we prefer slower bikes. Don't need the adrenalin rush I guess. Might have to look into the RE club.
I'm 58, 45 years on bikes. If I'm not on a motorcycle I'm on the mountain bike. Although I do have a 4x4 as well. I look at the Brindabella National park from the back deck. So dirt only about 20 mins away from home.

Yeah there's no Ego's in the club which is why I like it, they're a friendly bunch and from all over Oz https://recoainc.com/
the AGM is actually in Canberra November 6th-8th (Covid allowing) although I wasn't planning on going at this stage.

Im in the New England, brought my new bike home late last night, a May issue 2023, have also been looking for a ride with some others, managed to find a contact locally thru net riders forum, but any rider willing to ride here in my local bush area, or any area I will be up for it after I get thru the first 500km break in time.

Gday Ric, bit far away but if I'm ever up that way Ill let you know.
FYI, If you do facebook there's a large facebook group called: Royal Enfield Himalayan and Scram Australian Group
I reckon there are some people in that group that would be local to you.

Sorry mate I havent got back to you, as my business has taken up a fair bit of my private time lately, please do let me know, also I don't facebook, not interested in it, happy to do internet forums instead. Happy also to do a meet anytime. I don't come here nearly as often as I should , will change that now, now that I got rid of a company that was a detriment to my business, so hopefully the new company will be less problematic.

No worries at all. I'm also a bit sporadic in visiting this forum, but there are a few active Aussies here.
