Hi all. Am looking at buying a Himalayan after a 3 year break from bikes. Will be visiting a dealer later today to have a sit on one. Have done much research but my only concern is the seat hight, as I am not the tallest Umpalumpa on the planet 😊. Hopefully it will be ok. For info, I have had all sorts of bike from 50cc to 1200cc in my 55 years on bikes. Not phased by the apparent lack of power of the Himalayan but maybe will need to go up one tooth on the gearbox sprocket. Any info on this mod would be appreciated.
Cheers Chris T.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think you answered your own question in regard to the extra tooth front sprocket on the Himalayan. I guess there's no harm in trying it though. I've gone one tooth lower, which is just right for the hilly lanes around here.

Thanks Wintrup. I took the plunge yesterday and ordered a new Euro5 Himalayan. I will wait until it's run in before I start messing around with the 16t gearbox sprocket and all the other accessories I have planned. As others on here have said, adding all the whistles and bells can get a bit addictive! So, I'll just take it steady & decided over time what's needed and what's not.

Made an error. I meant to say I've gone one tooth lower.
