New Hima Ireland

I've been browsing this forum site for a while now but just registered tonight. Bought a new Himalayan last month and just finished the first valve adjustment tonight. Born in Texas but living in Ireland now. Not the best of riding weather here but trying to make the most of it when I can. Hope to get plenty of useful info off of here in the future.

Just curious, but how did you end up in Ireland? My wife's family is from County Cork, and she'd love to return, but emigrating from US to Ireland? I didn't think it was very do-able these days unless you had a company salivating for your talents.

I don't know about now with all of the Covid restrictions but in 2017 when we moved here we basically just flew here and said we were moving here. My wife is an irish citizen so my residency depends on her. Immigration just stamped my passport for the normal 90 day limit and told me to contact the immigration officer at my local garda station as soon as I could. Scheduled an appointment, went in for 15 minutes and got my passport stamped for 3 years and a card for work approval. Every three years i just have to go back for a short meeting and get it stamped again.
