New end can

Today I replaced the stock exhaust can with an aftermarket one, from a brand named GRMoto. According to the blurb it is made in the UK. They do several types and I got one that has a 'titanium' look with a 'carbon' end cap. I think it is in fact just stainless steel and it wasn't hugely expensive. It weighs a lot less than the stock item, sounds much better and it comes with a 5 year warranty, so why not?20210921_142041.jpg20210921_142052.jpg

Good looking exhaust muffler. (y)
I see you have a bit of 'belts and braces' going on with your garmin ?
What brand of pannier rack is that?

Thank you, I'm happy with it. The bike sounds a bit more grown-up now, not too loud but 'throaty. As you can see I left the baffle in.

These are the Hepco Becker racks so I can re-use the cases I already had.

The little hairband is to hopefully give me a bit of warning if the Zumo is going to dislodge itself, as its predecessor once did while I was doing 70mph on the motorway. I never saw it again....

Wow, Zumos really do that? I have one, but only use it occasionally and haven't had an issue. But if this something to watch for, I'll definitely follow your advice (too $$$ to be casual about it).

Yes mine did once and I went for this solution. I know a bit OTT 😀
Total cost under $10 each. Bought a external HD drive case from our local stationery shop (office works) and cut out and hand sewed flaps.
I have it on two bikes and no trouble so far with my belts and braces back up.

Your solution is more high tech than mine! To be fair it only happened once in over 10 years and something like 50,000 miles or more. Still, once is enough.

Not high tech 😀. since the Zumo popped out once I looked for a solution. There was a locking one from Touratech but was in the hundreds of dollars so I thought a bit outside the box - it ain’t pretty but it seems to work.
