i have meteor 350 and completed 1 year and 15000 km. i always do regular checkup as well as periodically servicing at authorized service center. i always change mobil filter, air filter as well as mobil also. But now i have an issue on starting in cold engine, in that situation i have to pull the throttle a few mm to start. after the full engine heated it will work as normal. my service center cleaned the throttle body but issue is same and said it is throttle body problem and it should be replaced. plz help me and suggest what was the actual issue.

This is probably in the wrong section - may have been better in Meteor 350.
However, have you checked the throttle cable is correctly seated and adjusted ?
Are the throttle body and hoses all connected correctly ?
Unfortunately, the MAP sensor and Idle Air Control Valve are part of the ECU which is in turn part of the throttle body.
If the unit has failed and you have had the servicing done at a dealer then it should be replaced under warranty - I am in the UK where the warranty is 36 months from date of purchase.

can we change map sensor ?

A variety of sensors are integrated into the ECU module on the throttle body. This is what I found in the manual:

1. Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Integrated with Throttle Body: Electronic Control Unit is integrated with the throttle body and makes a single module. Here, the ECU consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly contained in the plastic housing. The PCB assembly is electrically connected to the following hardware within the throttle body: air intake temperature sensor, air pressure sensor, throttle position sensor and idle flow actuator.

You may need to replace the throttle body (Hitchcock's part no. RLT00093). You can find a lower price on eBay. A diagnostic should indicate an ECU failure. Don't rule out the fuel pump and injector. There are other sensors external to the ECU that may affect cold startup (engine oil temp and oxy sensors). I would start by checking and cleaning connectors. Is the check engine light (MIL) on?

as you have mention part no. but my existing throttle body part no. is RLT00036. when the engine is heated fully, it will start smoothly in idle state and in that situation i should not have to throttle cable. but in cold state i have to slightly throttle the cable to start the engine basically in morning time or engine stop in long period approx 1 day stop.

Tell us what model and year is your Meteor 350. You have identified the cold start issue, and the MIL is not indicating a fault. It seems that the engine is not getting enough fuel on cold start unless you open the throttle, actuating the throttle positioning sensor which tells the ECU to inject more fuel. One or more of the sensors are giving the ECU false information. I hate throwing money at a problem, but you may have to replace the throttle body as the repair shop suggested. Unfortunately, there are no discrete parts (like the MAP) that you can replace. Keep us posted on your progress.

How does your bike run when it is warmed up? Does it accelerate normally as you would expect? Do you hear the exhaust pop when you let off the throttle? Poor acceleration and back firing may indicate that the engine is running too lean, even when warm. Check and clean the connection to the fuel injector. Ask at the repair shop if this could be a fuel pump or injector problem. I'm doing a lot of guessing, but I like to try simple and less expensive options first.
