I used to watch her when she was on the Himalayan and to be honest I was in awe of her and her adventures. She was a big part of why I bought my Himalayan as opposed to the interceptor which I was originally looking at. That and the cost difference. I got a little bored of her exploits since she started riding other marques. I understand why she's changed. Traveling around Europe doesn't hold my attention like traveling around Asia and South America did. I hope that she picks up where she left off in South America after this terrible pandemic is over.

It is over, it just has a lot of political legs that keep it running and running and running.

I've watched quite a few of her videos and enjoyed all of them. She has some serious motorbike riding skills and is undaunted by travelling the world alone. Which is something most could only ever dream about. I've a lot of respect for her and hope she stays safe on her journeys.

Her presentation style and true respect for others make her unwatchable for people who have hatred in their hearts.

She is showing a side of people that all leaders don't want us to know about so they can continue to control us through fear.

Or, more likely, you dont have a clue wtf you are talking about.

It's possible to not like something without having "hatred in your hearts"

I am buying my Himalayan because of her. Also... I rode motorcycles on 4 continents and still don't have a license (about to get one, just signed up for training) - and her videos were the reason for me to get back on track with motos and learning, and buying, too.

Something tells me that if RE gave her a cut of the sale from every bike where someone mentioned her as the reason for the purchase, she'd be a very rich person. ;)

My hat's off for Nathanthepostman and itchy boots. Also worth mentioning is anthiron, richard1605, wolftrax and others brought tons of awareness to the bike very early on with thier no bullshit good/bad/ugly reviews, testing and ownership reports. Iirc it was wolftrax that rode coast to coast USA and back first.

Sandy (Wiltshireman) and Nathan got me interested and hunting down a Snow - then I saw Itchy's 60,000k report. TN_Twowheels cross county RR was icing on the cake.

Have you watched the official launch video for the roll out in 2016 ? There's a brief segment in there showing the engines innards during manufacture and assembly. OMG the crank journals and bearings waaaaay big !

Things like that, finding out Pierre Terblanche was the lead designer, Lester Harris's company was doing the chassis, critical feedback from private party owners in the UK, Philippines and Australia..was among the info I needed to decide whether or not t to take the plunge.

Eearly adoper when they became available over here. Still happy with the decision and the bike.

Sorry not hijacking the thread:

Recently read that Harris Performance ( I know, I know- now owned by RE) was responsible for the Chassis design & Suspension tune.

Only had the bike for a short while and have only ridden on asphalt; but the Himmi inspires confidence on twisties and sharp turns and 'taking the third exit' on roundabouts even with its cheap knobby (CEAT) tyres. Surprisingly more than some popular brands of road oriented bikes (on sport/ sport touring type tyres) that I have ridden very recently. I cannot but give all the credit to the chassis and suspension designers.

Disclosure: not done at speed as I am running in the bike; so talking corners at 20 to 50kph.

Back to Itchy Boots, who I think is a Legend... and I am a fan :).
