I wanted to lube the center stand pins as they were making a noise every time I put the bike on the center stand. Inspection prior to removal I could see that blue colored grease RE uses on and around the outside of the pins. When I removed the pins there was no grease on the shaft of the pins or in the bushings/sleeve. Simple fix greased and no more noise.
The Helpful Tip
To remove and reattach the springs remove the left and right bump stops along with the right side support bracket. This will allow the center stand to swing up higher creating a shorter distance between the spring mount points - Makes it easier to use a spring puller to fit the ears over the nibs. Also temporary tie the center stand up in the highest position when refitting - unless you have a helper to hold it or if you have 3 arms.
Not sure if someone has already posted this tip - I did a search and couldn't find a post - if someone already posted let me know and I'll delete my post.
