Front Brake Binding

I have had issues with the front brake binding, I wondered if anyone else has had similar problems.
I bought the bike in December, it’s done 10,000 miles, and did a few small jobs on it through the winter and used it first a couple of weeks ago, after a few miles it felt like the bike had lost power but it was the brake binding, I stopped and let it cool and it was OK for the rest of the ride which was only around 20 miles.
I stripped the caliper and cleaned it, I fitted new pads while it was off and applied copper grease to the pad retaining pin.
Next ride 40ish miles was fine, no issues.
Two days ago I rode around 50 miles and stopped at a mate’s for coffee, then on the way home it happened again about halfway home.
Today I removed the caliper again, made sure both pistons moved freely, made sure the sliding pins slid freely and gave everything a good spray with WD40 (not the pads), applied copper grease to the backs of the pads and the side bearing surfaces, reasembled and went for a 50 mile ride with no issues.
I hope this sorts it but I know I will just be waiting for it to recur.
