I know people sometimes name their bikes for instance I once had a Harley shovelhead who name was unprintable here and Squeezy has Basmati and of course Noraly has the now famous Basanti. So not to be outdone I went to my local carwash which is run by Sihks and asked what is a good name for my steed quickly came back the reply "thats easy!" Kera which means Lion so Kera it is. any others?

Unfortunately, I've never gotten that attached to a bike. I've always been looking for the next one to try. I think now I am slowing down and settling in and choosing bikes with more character and soul. I will have to mull this over for a while.

Our animals all get names. The horses have long names related to lineage but they are called Cash and Shilo. The barn cats are Thunder an Storm. Two barn cats that are no longer with us were named Lighting and Rain. The inside cat is named Snow.

When I had all Japanese bikes a friend of my wife's called them my Asian mistresses. Now I have American, Italian, Indian, and Japanese in my garage. Mmm.

Of course. Vessels and vehicles are traditionally female, so it is a girl's name that reflects on her Indian heritage. She is Jodhi (Jo-dee) - which in Hindi means a pair or couple; a duo who perform together like in dancing together. Which is perfect because she is my dancing partner when we ride together.

Her name is Jodhi - I only spelled it the other way to indicate pronunciation. Now I'm no prude and I can cuss like a sailor and have heard even worse, but I've never heard of a Jody or Jodee. Can you drop a hint ?

OK, I guess I'll chime in. I've decided to give mine a name also. Its name is Thandha, in Hindi it means Frosty. Yep, that's right, its a snow colored Himalayan.

HI, GREEN BIRD here. I am going too name the Himalayan LIZZY. My granddad had a model T ford farm truck he called LIZZY . Used it to haul feed for the farm animals. Parts of it were homemade, sort of like some of the farkles I've made. Also rode 20 miles or so today 39F got my December ride in. Ride Safe!

The Model T's nickname is the Tin Lizzie. So, in that vain of thought, the Himalayan nickname could be the Himmy. :)
