Congratulations BCSteve on the new bike and welcome to this forum. I love touring Vancouver Island. My last trip was with my wife two years ago.

fog rider, good choice in the Mr Clean. That was the one I wanted but at the time I bought 650 GT it was sold out Nation wide. No worries I also like the white.

Have not seen too many Interceptors here on the Island yet, and I agree that with a few simple mods the RE suits our local roads.
What colour and model did you get? The dealer in Parksville is excellent to work with.
Will look for you on the road as I do the Port Renfrew loop regularly.

For info:
Bayview Custom Motorcycles (BCMC) in Parkesville closed down in mid-2022. I believe Island Motorsports in Victoria took their dealership.
Mile Zero Motorsports in Ladysmith is now (as of January 2023) an RE dealer; that's where my '23 Baker Express was purchased.
Halfmoon Motorcycles in Qualicum Beach is owned/operated by the ex-service manager of BCMC and services Royal Enfields.

Getting there...
From what I have read here, it would seem that there are more REs on Vancouver Island than on the (BC) mainland! That can't be right! Be That As It May... I come over there from New West fairly often, so it is nice to know where I can get service if I have an issue while visiting. Thanks for the information!

Mine is a 2020 Mark 2 Interceptor 650 (I sent away for the side panels which say "Interceptor", not INT 650). I bought it second hand with 2100 k on it from the dealer, International Motorsports in Vancouver. The bike came with a black Royal Enfield flyscreen, LED head- and signal lights, AEW TE 101 chrome slip on silencers, tan leather grips on the handlebars, and a brown custom saddle (Sahara Seats) which I have since replaced . To wit: so far I have added a Corbin saddle and a set of Givi panniers. Hitchcock's (of the UK) have provided a performance clutch, a DNA air filter, free flow header pipes with Enfield Precision "shorty" silencers - both in brushed steel, and finally their further modified S & S stage 2 cam shaft which I will likely have installed later this year. Some may recognize that the foregoing Hitchcock parts would all be necessary if one was going to install the 865cc big bore kit which would take the bike from low 40s bhp to 65 bhp. However, once the cam alone is added to the engine, the bike should apparently come in around 55 bhp with no further mods, and I may just decide to leave it at that... at least until the warranty runs out. Gotta say, I'm having a lot of fun modifying and riding this bike!

It also means that I have the INT 650 side panels, OEM header pipes + the AEW TE 101 mufflers, the custom seat, a stock air filter set up, and a complete OEM clutch lying around in my storage lockup area if anyone local needs something.
