2021 Himalayan headlight not working

Fuse is ok, replaced the light bulb, but my headlight still is not working. Every other light on the bike works fine.

In the past I had occassional issues where the headlight would cut off after switching on the hi beam, but worked again after switching back to low beam. Then worked normal. Happened only two or three times overall so I never did anything about it, but now I'm thinking I should have investigated while the bike was still under warranty.

Anyone had the same issue?

Based on what you’ve said the first place I’d look is the high/low beam switch cluster. They’re not exactly renowned for their durability or resistance to corrosion.
Had a feeling it would be something like this.

What's the procedure? Swap it with a new one or? Electricity is not my strongest suit. Is this a "I'm gonna watch a youtube video" kinda thing or is it "let's call someone" situation?

Edit: Could it also be the relay? I had to replace the main relay under the seat and the fuel pump relay on the side (under warranty). I never upgraded all of them and googling now I find a lot of people just glat out replaced all 5 relays.

Filip, If the following is too basic - just ignore what I am saying.
1) Check if you have power in the headlight bulb holder with bike key turned on. The cable into holder may be damaged.
a) if you have power The holder contacts may be corroded so just rub (score) surface with screwdriver
2) if no power above, check switch to see if the contacts need to be cleaned ( lightly sand paper contacts)
3) check headlight fuse
4) check relays
5) if still not working -go to an auto electrician.

Thats all I’ve got. Good luck.

To add to above - the headlamp on BS6 (?) only comes on once the engine is running, so don’t go looking for voltage with just the ignition on.

Don’t forget the one behind the RH side panel - 5 in total. 🙂.
I already replaced that one a few months after buying the bike. Got replacement relays from the dealer under warranty, they're not the same as stock ones but came in an RE bag.

Are Bosch 0 332 201 107 ok?
They are rated at 30/15 amps, but I see people are recommending those.
