    Sold my 2021

Hey guys. I received my endorsement in January and bought the Himalayan for my first bike. Over the last 8 months I have put 3,200 miles on it while approving my skill set. I feel I have outgrown the bike now and looking to upgrade to a middleweight. I have taken it on a few fire roads and it...

    High tickover when hot

Ditto If tickover means when I’m stopped at a light and the bike is idling at 2K, then yes this is happening to my bike.

    Windscreen well nuts

I just don’t like the look of not having a windscreen on this bike. It looks so unfinished.

    Windscreen well nuts

Well it wasn’t the Hitchcocks guard after all. The vibration was driving me crazy so I removed the screen and no vibration. I installed the Headlight guard and rode the same street, still no vibration. It’s the crappy well nuts that are letting the screen come into contact with the frame. I will...

    Which brush guards?

Cycle Gear shows the Himalayan uses the KTM 390 Adventure Barkbusters now, is that correct?

    Which brush guards?

Who has the Barkbusters for our bike in stock these days? Did they stop making the Himalayan specific ones?

I installed the Hitchcocks USB charger.

It’s off since it connects to the 6 block harness near the battery.

    Got my Himmi

Nice job. I would remove the front sprocket cover and clean all the gunk from there if the chain looks like that.

I installed the Hitchcocks USB charger.

I was eyeing the SRC Moto one since I bought my bike and they were out of stock for months. When it was back in stock they raised the price to $208. Nope! So Hitchcocks has been working on one for a while and it finally hit the market. I know some people might think $108 is way too much to spend...

    Light weight top box

I saw a few videos on the reinforce Givi rack and some people had to cut off part of their rear rack to make it fit. I guess the rear light or rack dimensions changed in 19-20?

Brand new 2021 himmy, valves, chains and adjustments! 300 mile service

I bought mine from Paradise HD also. The sales staff was good but the person doing the DMV paperwork should of been fired. She took 3 weeks to send the wrong documents to the DMW, which they had to send back, then she used Covid as her excuse for the delay. They also wanted $410 for the 300 mile...

Brand new 2021 himmy, valves, chains and adjustments! 300 mile service

It looks like you bought it at a HD dealer, Tigard or Eugene?

    Windscreen well nuts

The Hitchcocks guard uses metal sleeves in the headlight bucket screw holes as a filler. Those were probably part of the problem.

    Cutting up the windshield

This is what happen to me with the short Hitchcocks windshield. The air was hitting me right in the throat also. I put the stock one right back on and went back to the buffering on my helmet.

    Windscreen well nuts

Well I found the problem. It was the Hitchcocks headlight guard that was vibrating.

    Light weight top box

Lock no lock, I‘m not leaving my expensive helmet on my bike. It takes two seconds to steal the visor on these helmets.

    Light weight top box

I know about the weak top rack on the Himalayan but I was looking at the Shad 29L that weighs 7 pounds. That falls under the 7.5 pound max weight of the factory top rack. The reason I was looking at a top box is that I’m getting tired of carrying my helmet into stores. I own a Shoei helmet and...
