The Super Meteor is here finally

The disappearance of that gadget in the market was because they were all being diverted to this bike I'm guessing. Local RE guys are saying Jan delivery here in India, although I'd take that with a gram of salt

The Super Meteor is here finally

Same engine and chassis as the 650Twins but with a typical American Cruiser style aspirations however with a parallel twin rather than a V-Twin engine, so more of a Vulcan S than a Sportster.

    Foot boards anyone?

My Classic 350 test mule had these and on that bike they were a driving hazard, my feet wouldn't stay planted on them. They kept sliding forward! A very intimidating test-ride. I wouldn't put these on my bike at all.

    Foot boards anyone?

Hi All Just wanted to see if anyone has successfully installed proper cruiser style footboards or floor-boards on their meteors? Here in India I guess Yamaha had an old model, Enticer, which people have told me the foot-boards are a perfect fit for the Meteor, does anyone where I can source one...

    Rear wheel wobble?

The shop he's sending the wheel to does rim work only, truing and straightening rims, fixing punctures on tubed tires and so on. But some progress so yaay for me. There's reports that the meteor 650 is most likely going to be released in December...finally! If that happens then I will have to go...

    Rear wheel wobble?

Update. Went to the service station yesterday as they had called me to pick up the bike, seems there was a comm breakdown and the bike wasn't ready. Anyway took a test ride and pleasantly majority of the wobble was gone on the original tyres, so good news. However the manager told me he's still...

    Rear wheel wobble?

Truth be told the other bike i rode was much worse for wear. It had some other issues as well, India being a price sensitivity market a lot of people skimp on spending money on upkeep which might be the issue with my test ride bike.

    Rear wheel wobble?

Forgot to mention that when I was there yesterday I made them give me a test ride on another customer's Int650, I know this is going to ruffle some feathers on the North American audience, but I guess this is pretty normal in India. On this other bike as well there were demonstrably more rear...

    Rear wheel wobble?

All excellent observations and inputs, much appreciated. The service center wanted to dump the bike on me today but I'm going to tell them to hang on to it for a couple more days and I'm going to go there and practically see for myself all the pointers given by you guys. Thanks.

    Rear wheel wobble?

I'll check the play on the rear wheel at the service station tomorrow although RE tech said the wheel is fine but I've grown to find their opinion a little lacking in truth

    Latest Meteor.

The Neanderthal in me says the dancing needles are the same as shaking juicy booty... apologies in advance for offending anybody but the anology makes my nerves tingle😁

    Rear wheel wobble?

There is a marked swing either way of about half an inch. RE tech assured me that that's normal on a spoked wheel. Spokes were tightened and axle was removed to take out the wheel so I don't think that would be the issue. That feeling of losing the balance of the bike right from under me has...

    DNA Filter and Airbox Cover

Yes it would. You can always swap out to the stock RE filter any time you get the bike serviced.

    Rear wheel wobble?

Hi All, A query for all the Int650 long term owners out there. I bought mine last year in May with 10,000 kms on it here in India. During the test ride i didn't really feel any vibes or wobbles at either end and the deal was good so I grabbed the bike. Since then over time I've noticed that the...
