    Break in for the Himalayan

lol. Yes, I just finished my 300 miles and had trouble with 37mph. I did manage to keep it at 40 or below though. Going 50 will seem like flying now.

    New bike first oil change

Yeah, I am aware of the Ebay sellers from India. I need one sooner than it would take to ship from India. Almost have my 300 miles put in.

Is there a gun boot mount for the Himalayan?

For some reason it wouldn't let me post the other pics. (Says they are too big, but they are the same as this one. Help?) I mounted a rear back plate and then mounted a Kolpin Gun Boot IV loop bracket. The case doesn't stick out as much as this photo makes it appear. Pretty solid, but I am a...

    So, did I over pay?

Arizona dealers sock it to you. My figures: msrp, $4999, freight $350, dealer prep $300, doc fees $299, license title and transfer $124.99, tax $491.46. Total $6563.45 Phoenix area dealers were a scad over $1000 more than that. I drove 105 miles to Tucson last week to save that $1000. Used...

    Tried a 2021 Himalayan yesterday

I am 70, in fairly good physical condition, but you still get stiff at my age. With the panniers mounted I struggle a little getting on and off. I saw videos of people mounting like you said, using the foot peg. My manual did state that the stand is only meant to support the weight of the...

    From Arizona

The road to Tortilla Flat is fine. Past that is dirt. There was a big washout a couple years ago and they have not gotten the road opened up to Roosevelt Lake yet.

    New Hima in Colorado

We almost bought a place at Summit Lake this last summer. Too much fixing up to do and they wouldn't haggle much on price. My place is west of Groundhog Lake, over the mountains there. Anyway, sounds like a lot better deals are to be had outside of the Phoenix area. You got yours $2000...

    From Arizona

Hello, I bought a new Himilayan Friday. They were getting ready to load it, but said it wasn't idling properly. I waited 2 1/2 hours while they fiddled with it. Dealership is 105 miles away and they wanted to keep it to go over it some more. Turns out nothing was wrong, just a cold motor...

    New Hima in Colorado

I have a nice hunting property up north of Dolores/Cortez. Family there as well. Beautiful country. Did the dealership pile on the gimmick charges? Here in the Phoenix area they are charging $2600 over the msrp, and they won't budge. Hardly any available either. I found mine in Tucson for...
