Wind buffering

I'm not sure what your weight has to do with windscreen height or anything else.... but...

This has been discussed ad-nausea going back to 2019. One of several threads:
https://www.royalenfieldowners.com/index.php?threads/hitchcocks-taller-windshield-for-the-himalayan.357/

BTW, a shorter windscreen kind of solves the buffeting by putting your face directly in the wind stream, which I find makes tears and neck strain much worse. The Hitchcocks tall windscreen helps with the neck strain, and goggles instead of a face shield help with the tears. A velcro-type goggle strap works a wonder at making them more convenient. And the goggles I use fit over eyeglasses.

FWIW, I'm 225, so ....?

The buffeting seems to be different between pre-Tripper models and models with Tripper, too. The windshield is larger on the Tripper models - I'm 6'3" 230ish and only experienced severe buffeting on my '22 Himmie when I was behind larger vehicles at 60+MPH. I put a PowerBronze screen on my bike that is 100MM taller (bout 4 inches) and it solved my issue.

Cut it down or add a larger one, the choice is yours! The stock screen is definitely a problem for some torso lengths. Also note, changing mirrors and/or mirror position can alter the windstream at speed. Mine got better with a 40MM riser, for example, but wasn't quite enough to stop the buffeting.

BUGFERING SOLVED 👍….I cut the screen 2 cm each time down until the wind was out of my eyes….
Now it’s short 10 cm from the bottom of the shield…..NO WIND IN FACE ANYMORE…👍
It’s an easy cut operation with an angle cutter for metal…hold it down on the table with on hand…wear 👓 glasses…
….anyway better to wear while riding wind glasses and or visor…
Thxs guys….
Save ride…
Best wishes from Thailand

I was thinking we were referring to height not weight!

I do find it easy to watch my weight, due to a slowly expanding waistline I no longer have to bend my neck so far to see it.
Ditto, in centimetres. But there was also a brief moment I thought it may be biblical years while I was trying to work it out.
