1100 mile valve tappet adjustment

adjusted my valves, they were pretty tight. I put exhaust to .025 and intake to .010. Now, the idle is surgy and periodically dies. I thought you should err on the loose side since these tend to tighten over time. should I go tighter? Thanks!

Since the first 300m service, (when the clearances weren’t checked, despite being itemised and charged for😡) when I checked them at c350 miles they were both tight.
I set them at 0.1/0.25mm (max within tolerance) and the bikes been fine. I’ve run a tec cam for the last few thousand miles and use the same clearance figures, and again, no issues and a quiet top end.
I think it’s more likely you’ve trapped a pipe somewhere than the clearances causing the issue.
