East or west northern CT? Or is it Windsor Locks? I ride in CT often in the good weather. I like the straight run on 44 from the state line to Hartford. And good people at the dealership in Kent.
There are pretty rides from me, Cooperstown on 23 or anything in Columbia County to MA, but something about CT is alluring. The roads are better and perhaps the traffic a tad less aggressive. I'm dreaming of those rare days I get to ride 44 in the 80 degrees plus heat on the way back. I only just worked out where The Hawk's Nest is and that will be one of the first rides next year. Jervis to Hancock for The Hawk's Nest but with the from and return to Woodstock on those points, it is 240 miles total on the day which is about my distance. Roll on 2023. Agreed on Guy. I like his operation as well.

I won't be trying to keep up with the T120. We'll set the destination for coffee or lunch and I will see you there when I arrive. I am very content with bringing up the rear. I've just had visions of Blue Square in West Hartford. I really like riding in western CT in the summer. I look at Guzzis and they have their own mystique but a friend in Rome says even in Italy they are hard for parts. That and I find it hard to part with anything once I buy it. I want another bike but I don't see myself parting with the Interceptor to get it. If the truth be known, if I had room, there are at least two bikes on my wish list over and above the Interceptor. One should not wish your life away and I have lots of tasks for the winter but roll on 2023. If you are up, we will make a plan. Life is just too short.
It is clearly a Hunter for tooling around the house today. But bigger is still up in the air. I will do nothing for two more years if I do anything at all. But ignoring any sudden moves to electric I have admittedly opened the Norton Commando order page. Enfield bringing out an 850 plus would do it for me with the caveat of appealing aesthetics. But then I am also drawn to an Indian Scout Sixty. In some ways, I believe I should have bought a 1200 Sportster this time round but as I was about to buy, an Enfield rode past and that was the end of that for now. I could still buy a used Sportster. But then, the move to electric is close. And there is just so little time and garage space. I can't see myself giving up the Interceptor without very good reason. There are reasons and stories for all of us and I am no less a product of my past.
They are all emotional decisions. Enfields for me as they never stopped making them. And I clearly remember being still a kid and standing in awe in Bombay in the early 80s thinking that all the Enfields the cops and military were riding were left behind by the Brits. And that I wanted one. Took 20 years and the advent of the Internet to realize they were still making them. And 20 more years before I actually owned one. Lunch in the Spring.
Clearly, I only frequent the more genteel parts of Hartford. Salisbury, Kent, Pine Plains, Hillsdale, Millerton. Hudson is fun. Pick your druthers. I also plan to run NH with Alan F if all else fails. and he is up for it. Three months and 13 days until April 1.
