Does anyone else have a flashing message to calibrate the compass on a 2020 Himalayan? You Tube suggested correction of figure eights hasn’t solved the problem. Any advice much appreciated. Grazie mille.

Mine is 2018 model year. Three different things calibrated the compass at different times. Riding the figure eight, disconnected battery for servicing then re connection and also riding 20 miles. The compass has been working trouble free for over two years now.

I was just kidding and speaking figuratively in terms of where I am headed in life?! Fortunately I can see the directions on the compass. Again many thanks.

I like your humor !

Some quotes and humor worth hanging on the walls of the workshop:

"Sometimes you have to get lost to find yourself"

"Getting dirty cleanses the soul"

"When you drive through the woods in a car, you're in a car.
When you ride through the woods on a motorcycle, you're in the woods"

"There's no such thing as too much gas....unless you're on fire"

At my age the only way is south. I am like my Himalayan >>as the saying goes, when you are over the hill you pick up speed.

I’ve found that slow tight figure 8’s seem to do it but it seems to not work but after a short ride it works again.

Seems most cell phones have a compass and since many use a tank bag, just as easy to check with the phone. I don't really like staring at the bike compass as I end up in a ditch...but at least I know what direction the ditch runs then.

My compass has never worked properly, it may point true north some times, but according to the direction heading i have only ever traveled north or northwest, apparently south and east and points in between don't exist here. I have tried to re-calibrate a few times but I'm not that fussed about it. It is a bit of a talking point when people see it.

Well if you are down under everything IS North :)
