So, you can't ride at all? Not even to go to an essential business?Pretty much sums up my view of my Interceptor 650. Because of lock down I've only done about 800miles, but enjoyed every one in a relaxed way, not feeling I had to get a move on, just enjoying the countryside. I think it looks great with no "false" bits added just for show. Looking forward to the time I can get out riding again.
Ah, my shopping is 30 miles each way. I go 25 miles in the other direction on curvy back roads "farm lanes" to pick up BBQ each Friday. I was riding standing up on a gravel road one day and a LEO was coming the other way. I just raised my left hand while continuing to ride standing up and gave him a wave. He didn't even acknowledge me.I think the Government want us to stay safe to help the National Health Service not get overwhelmed, so no journeys that are not essential, I could go shopping but hardly worth starting a bike for a 6 mile round trip, not good for the engine anyway, and it would be very embarrassing to fall off and end up in A&E. So best to forget about the bike for now, save on road tax and wait until it's over.
Law Enforcement Officer. We use that as a generic term since we have Town Police, City Police, County Sheriff's Deputies, State Troopers, Federal Marshalls, and on and on.What's a LEO ?
On any given day, I don't see a single LEO. County Deputies (there is only one sheriff per county) usually don't patrol. They serve warrants, and respond to events in the county like accidents, fires, crime. Never saw one running radar.Don't forget Village Police, Transit Police and Highway Patrol. On any given day, I can easily see Village Police, Town Police, County Sheriff's and NY State Troopers on the roads near my home.
