Sidestand Modification

I have just had a metal plate welded on to the foot of my sidestand to improve stability in soft or uneven ground. It cost me a couple of beers for the guy who did it, much cheaper that the bolt on alternatives that I have seen elsewhere. I will update this post on whether or not this modification was a good idea or otherwise.

Just an update as promised. This modification is working very well, no issues withit at all. Great on soft or uneven ground.

Needs something similar on my Inter 650, it leans over quite far.

Can you tell me the dimensions of the foot disc please? And is it about right or do you think a different size would be better?

I bent the vertical bit of the foot flat as I could see no function for it. That increased the footprint and I have no issues now.

Sorry about the delay in replying, it is about 8 cm in diameter. I find it a good size but a bigger one would obviously be better on really soft ground.
