Hi Slowdave,
I have a house close to Palomar Mountain, I ride my C5 every weekend on loop that consist of Hwy S22 to S3 to 78 to S2. 50 miles without a stop sign, very little traffic
in the summer.
Thanks dude... I've ridden Palomar back in the old days... 80's and 90's. Its a great road. Thanks for the other suggestions, wll check them out.

Hello,
I am in Temecula and organize dual sport, Himalayan friendly rides, every Wednesday Night. Rides are posted in the "Flying Monkey Adventure Riders" Facebook group. We are riding Temecula, Anza, and Warner Springs back roads tomorrow.

I just moved here, waaayyyy south county a couple months ago. this thread is very relevant for me.

I know of 94 from Jamul to Campo, Otay Lakes Rd between Chula Vista and 94, and nothing else.

I may have to try to tag along with GeoMoto some evening. While the rides may be Himalayan friendly, are the people and pace newbie friendly?

Stolen from ADV, Not just San Diego county though.

Hello,
90% of the rides are very beginner friendly. They are street and dirt. Most dirt is on graded gravel roads with a few short challenges here and there. We always have one or two riders in the group that will ride with the newer, less experienced riders. We have a large number of guys in our group now that could hardly keep the their bikes up a year ago and now push up at the front of the pack. The best way to improve is to get out and ride. Last week was our 84th Wednesday Hump Day Ride. I hope to see you on one of our rides.
