Hi all, I am English but live in the north of France near Lille but only a couple of hundred metres fro the Belgian border so I get the best of both worlds. These days I am semi retired and just back into bikes after a while. Been riding since the mid sixties mostly English twins and after Harleys for about twenty five years. My last bike was a KTM 950 ADV which was a great bike. The moment I clapped eyes on the Himalayan it was love at first sight and perfect for my needs these days. You mat have guessed that I am old school and like the simplicity and retro look of the Himi and will be doing all my own servicing and repairs along the way. I have worked in the music and events industry for most of my professional life and it has crossed my mind now that I have more time on my hands than is good for me to organise an RE or perhaps a Himalayan rally some where in Europe and would be interested in peoples thoughts on the subject. Meanwhile I hope to make some new friends and learn some thing. Keep the tyres on terra firma and have fun.

Himis are fast becoming a cult bike here in Europe and as the popularity has spread together with RE branching out into new markets stock is at the moment in short supply around here My dealer has only been allocated two between now and June and both are pre sold. Its true the big bikes are still popular but with guys like Nathan the postman who has covered over 16k miles on his including leading a group across the USA and seems happy with the bike. I think more people are coming round to the charms of a simple bike that does a fair job without breaking the bank.
